07:30am – Pick up from your hotel in Istanbul and travel to Troy for tour with lunch en route. Visit the archaeological site of this 5000 years old city, scene of the legendary Fall of Troy in the Trojan War as described in Homer’s Iliad, made famous by its wooden horse. See a reconstruction of the fabled Wooden Horse, the city ruins from a succession of 9 civilizations, the Roman Bouletarion, Theater and onsite museum. Drop off to the hotel. Overnight in Canakkale. Day 2 (Canakkale to Istanbul)
Private Gallipoli National Park Tour
Pick up from the hotel and travel across the Dardanelles by ferry. Visit Gallipoli National Park including: the Gallipoli Battlefields, Anzac Cove, original tunnels and trenches at Johnston Jolly, the Nek Cemetery, Chunuk Bair New Zealander Memorial, Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Brighton Beach. Lunch en route. Drive back to Istanbul. Drop off to your hotel about 5-6:00pm. (B, L)
